This reduces routine handling of packaged chlorine, but the pool still uses chlorine as its sanitizer. The listed 40,000-gallon capacity is a sizing limit, not a guarantee for every pool. Warm water, strong sun, heavy use and short pump runtimes can increase the capacity needed.

Replacement compatibility

This is a replacement cell for a compatible salt system. The control unit or power center is separate. Match the exact controller, cell configuration, connections and cable requirements before ordering; pool capacity alone does not establish compatibility.

Ongoing water care

Set production and circulation time according to measured chlorine demand. Continue testing chlorine, pH and the other water-balance parameters in the manual. Check salt concentration before adding salt, inspect the cell for deposits and clean only as directed. Salt chlorination does not replace filtration or routine pool maintenance.

https://mikanpool.com/products/jandy-aqualink-aquapure-3-port-14-blade-replacement-salt-cell-kit-40k-gallons-16-cable-plc1400-1
