Hayward ProSeries S310T2 high-rate sand filter for in-ground swimming pools. Features a 30-inch class top-mount tank with a 2-inch VariFlo control valve, corrosion-resistant polymeric construction, and a self-cleaning 360° slotted lateral system for balanced filtration and backwashing.

How sand filtration works
The circulation pump moves pool water through a bed of filter media that traps suspended dirt. Choose the filter using the pump's actual flow rate, the pool's circulation requirements and the available equipment-pad space. Tank diameter alone does not determine suitability.
Complete the filter installation
Confirm the valve configuration, connection sizes and the manufacturer's specified media type and quantity. The valve configuration named in the product title is included; verify that its ports match the planned plumbing. Plan a suitable backwash-water discharge route. Filter media, site-specific plumbing and installation are separate unless expressly listed.
Cleaning and maintenance
Record clean operating pressure after startup and follow the manual's pressure-rise guidance for backwashing. Turn off the pump before changing valve positions or servicing the filter. Maintain pool chemistry and sanitizer separately; filtration removes particles but does not disinfect the water.
